Wall Decor - Blue Fairy on Fluorescent Moon

It comes alive in the dark
By day it's a quiet little scene on your wall: a blue fairy on a crescent moon, her wings spread in fine, lacy swirls. Then you switch off the light, and the best part arrives. The white moon is printed in glow-in-the-dark PLA that drinks in the light through the day and gives it back at night as a soft glow. Nothing harsh or showy, just a gentle little world flickering by the bed while you drift off.

The detail up close
The fairy's wings and the moon are both cut through with intertwining swirls, like lace. When light catches them from the side, it filters through and casts a delicate shadow. The deep blue of the fairy stands cleanly apart from the white moon, though the two are a single piece, simply printed in two different filaments. Lovely in a child's room, as a companion light on the bedside table, or in any dreamy corner that's nice to look at.

We design it, we print it
The piece is our own design. We draw it and print it for you here in Icod de los Vinos (Tenerife), made to order. It's PLA, a plant-based, biodegradable bioplastic, with the moon in a glow-in-the-dark PLA that soaks up light and returns it. At barely 3 mm thick it weighs next to nothing, so it goes up anywhere without drilling: double-sided tape or adhesive putty at several points; if you'd rather use a nail, that one does need drilling.

Mounting & care

• Mounting: without drilling, use double-sided tape or adhesive putty at several points; if you'd rather use a nail, that one does need drilling. Tell us in the order notes which you prefer.

• To make it glow well: let it soak up light (daylight or a lamp) for a while before switching off; the glow fades slowly through the night.

• Indoor decorative item. PLA is heat-sensitive: keep it out of direct sun and off radiators (above 50 °C it can deform).

• Cleaning: clean it with a soft cloth, or with lukewarm water and a little soap.

• The fine print lines are inherent to 3D technology and part of its modern texture, not a defect.
